Yes Flowal, I managed to work it out for my self eventually. Personally I don't think many children would enjoy using this programme, i think that it would only be a short time before children will get bored of using it. I think children will probably have much problems in actually working the programme independantly unless task explained very well.

Trouble!

We have been trying to put our interactive map onto blogger but are having an awful lot of difficulty converting it into something that will allow it to still work effectively with it's links and buttons going to different pages. I would not ask children to upload their interactive maps onto the internet, becuase it is highly difficult.

Does anyone know how to upload effectively?

Interactive map (Virtual Tour)

We made our interactive map today. Using powerpoint was good, as we know how to use it well and the only trouble was putting in the buttons which connect the slides. Sometimes buttons would be hidden behind other objects, apart from that this task was pretty simple.

We included several links to websites, animations, sound files, video files and pictures.

Several of our tasks we linked the theme to fairytales, if you choose a theme then you could have them all relate to one another.

Problems!?

I've had some problems putting the links and videos up for the animation, super dooper music looper and podcast. However, I found that by putting the animation in movie maker meant i could put it on the blog. Then I could do the same for the super dooper music looper and so that worked from then. The Podcast could be put on the blog by uploading to the server.

Podcasting

We have now completed our podcast, and it went very well. We used a programme called Podium which I think is quite easy to use once shown. Children will need to be shown how to use it first as theres no obvious help option on the programme. It is better suited for Key Stage 2 than Key Stage 1, and can link to the upper keystage two Radio drama (From Schemes of Work on Standards website). It was enjoyable to make and i'm happy with the finished product.
